Photographing The Runway At The Oxford Fashion Studio Shows: Highlights From Paris Fashion Week Aw20
WAS THRILLED TO BE INVITED TO TAKE PHOTOS AT THE OXFORD FASHION STUDIO SHOWS THIS PAST SATURDAY!
The Oxford Fashion Studio shows bring together independent designers from around the world and showcase their work on the runway. It’s a great opportunity to see a mix of innovative designs from smaller brands.
This was my second season attending and photographing the OFS fashion shows in Paris. Both times so far, I’ve been so impressed at the designs, the styling, the models… everything, really!
I PHOTOGRAPHED THREE FASHION SHOWS BACK TO BACK, WHICH FEATURED A TOTAL OF 16 DESIGNERS.
I loved seeing the looks for the autumn-winter season, and it was amazing to see such a breadth of work in just one day. It was an eclectic mix of concepts and styles, but there were also some commonalities between the designers’ visions. Keep on scrolling, and you’ll see what I mean!
HAVING THE CHANCE TO TAKE IT ALL IN AT ONCE WAS REALLY EXCITING FOR ME, AND SO I WANTED TO RECREATE THAT EXPERIENCE FOR YOU HERE.
Rather than presenting every show or every designer individually (and writing 16 blog posts back to back? phew!), I’ve put together a selection of some of my favorite shots of the day. These photos span all three shows, all in one scroll-able post!
You’ll notice I chose a lot of closeups for this selection. I always love the full-body walking shots for runway, but I kept finding myself being drawn to the portraits as I was going through my photos! There’s an emotion and dynamism to them that I just loved.
